Confirmation

Confirmation preparation at St. Robert's may not begin until a teen is in the 9th grade year and they may not be confirmed until the second semester of their sophomore year, based on Diocesan standards.  The Confirmation preparation process is meant to help the youth discover their faith story and help them continue to grow in their own faith journey, realizing that Confirmation is not a "graduation" from learning which is a life long endeavor.  Enrollment for the preparation process is in the Fall of each year and sessions begin in January.  Sessions meet in homes.

 These are the components of the process:

• Weekly sessions at homes from Jan until April and Sept to the following April. It is a 1 and ½ year program.
• 2 Retreats (One at the beginning of the program and one at the end.  Both are required.)
• Service component-a minimum of 30 service hours must be completed
• Sponsor involvement and 7 sponsor/candidate meetings at church
• Regular attendance at Sunday Mass
• Optional involvement in other youth ministry activities and church life
